Welcome to the first blogpost of this, my lavley new blog, Up North!
The original idea behind this blog was FASHION, and I toyed with names like "La Mode up North", however, the name was rubbish, and I realised I'm not actually that stylish, however much I would like to be.
So, I decided to branch out. The North gets a bit of a bad rep, and I'd just like to broaden the spectrum when it comes to Northerness.
For example, a Northern university (also, the one that I am attending BOOYAH Cambridge for rejecting me... over it) has recently boosted up to the top ten in most league tables, an impressive feat for a Northern town (that isn't York).
So, yay for Lancaster.
And seeing as that is where I live, this blog will be focussing on the happenings in and around Lancaster.
